We would love to check out new photography styles with various techniques and creative analysis. We are agnostic toward devices that’s why we would love to check out the images from full-frame smartphones, film cameras & DSLRs. Our main rationale is to put forward the picture the way you saw and photos with the personal vision. Too much processing should be avoided. We would like to see the world through your eyes without the use of any editing tools. If you want to edit the picture kindly keep a note about the process with it.  We accept all kinds of pictures except nude, pictures showing violences, photographs directly supporting drinking, smoking or any kind addiction & vulgar photography. Please check all the rules below:

1. Photo Post: 1 Photo per day. For any specific theme when more than one photo is required, we will mention it beforehand.

2. Respect to All photographers: No controversial comment, No troll

3. Minimum Size: Post file size: 1920px. For any kind of Exhibition - Publish with print media / digital display, resolution 300/72DPI.

4. Verification: If we have any kinds of doubt regarding your post, then we can ask for the RAW file for verification.

5. Repost :

a. You can repost the same picture after 2 months.

b. Color To Black & White or Black & White To Color - If you post the color/black & white version on the Day 1 then you can repost the black & white/Color version on the next month.

6. Ethics: Photography, Kolkata only respects the ethical photography with the present situation and spot clicking. In a simply way, we do not want you to manipulate any subject or environment for the sake of photography. This will never be allowed here.

7. Caption: We definitely look forward a nice caption for you. Without disclosing the full story behind the photo you can give an attractive caption to engage all the viewers.

8. Burning And Toning: Darkening & brightening of various areas should be very less and only be done in necessary areas. Digital darkroom techniques should be your choice for the image adjustment and color.

9. Cropping: Try to adjust the image while composing, though cropping is allowed.

10. Cloning: This absolutely not allowed. You cannot add any sort of extra element or mirroring repetitive objects, adding people to a crowd and a portrait and subtracting or adding any objects.

11. Black And White Photography: Image conversion from color to black & white is always done.

12. Stitched Panoramas: Within the same time panorama is allowed, but other than that stitched one are not allowed. Stitched or stacked image with a caption is required but no stretching is allowed.

13. Composite: Composite images are not allowed.

14. High Dynamic Range (HDR) Effect: When you will submit the post, please mention HDR. But not manipulate the image and make it unnatural.

15. Filters: As we mentioned that do not over process the pictures so usage of filters like on photographs, including presets are allowed. We would love to know about the techniques and filters that are actually used.

16. Magazine Publish: For magazine publications you have to submit the raw files to the editors.

17. Watermark: We allow a small watermark which will not cause any such distinctions. Your name along the photograph will be the credit to the owner so no such watermark is needed at the most.

18. Inappropriate Content: Pictures those are violating our terms will be removed or deleted. If your content have any hate speech, objectionable content, offensive or pornographic and any inappropriate content the it will be removed. In fact if you post any other pictures which is having copyright violations then we will remove you along with the picture.

19. Featured: After selection on FB we will feature the image on our website, Photography Kolkata. We will upload your picture picture and promote your creativity.

20. Result: The result will be declared on our website http://www.photographykolkata.com/result
